For the land-based angler the piers and jetty’s are hot spots during the day for Salmon, Flathead and Trevally while the
evenings produce Southern Calamari, Tommy Rough and Slimey Mackeral.

Best rigs and baits are patternoster and dropper rigs which we have a number of different styles of these in store.
Preferred baits are pippies, squid and salted pilchard.

Surf Beaches.
Gunnamatta beach is one of the most popular on the Peninsula. the surf fishing this time of year generally produces larger
Salmon and often in good numbers.
Both bait fishing and lure fishing are ideal ways to target these hard fighters.

The Weed beds between Rye and Blairgowrie have been fishing flat out for Calamari and Whiting.
Snapper are still active and being consistently caught along the Fairway shipping lane.
Commonly used baits are pilchard, squid and yellowtail scad while pippies and fresh squid are best for the King George Whiting
